- TÜV SÜD confirms the effectiveness of the DPD environmental management system
- Simultaneous certification of DPD in Germany, Austria, Belgium and Luxembourg
Mechelen, 25 January 2012 – Parcel and express service provider DPD has successfully been certified in accordance with the ISO 14001 international environmental norm. The certification followed a process covering several months and involving numerous audits at DPD branches by TÜV SÜD, the independent testing body. The certified environmental management system covers DPD in Germany, Austria, Belgium and Luxembourg.
Our ambitious and measurable environmental policy will enable us to anchor responsibility towards the environment even more deeply within our organization, states DPD Managing Director Marc Morioux, adding Certification in accordance with ISO 14001 confirms this - and at the same time represents a commitment to the future.
DPD's environmental management system is based on measurable environmental targets covering subjects such as reducing energy consumption, emissions, waste and water consumption. On the basis of reliable key data DPD continuously measures of success of the measures it implements for the purpose of achieving environmental targets. The documentation and measurement of this key data, together with the consistent implementation of the company's environmental policy, are monitored by TÜV SÜD at regular intervals. The current certification remains valid for an initial period of three years.
