The opening of a new depot in Belgorod on 26 January marks a further significant stage in the ongoing expansion of DPD in Russia
With its population of 350,000 Belgorod is strategically located on the junction of highways from the north to the south and from the east to the west of Russia. More than 5,000 parcels a day can be processed at the depot on an area of over 520 m2. The depot in Belgorod is DPD in Russia's 32nd.
Kazakhstan has been part of the DPD network since 2006, and now this is also reflected by the company name, because the rebranding from "GeoPost Caspian" to "DPD Kazakhstan" has been successfully completed.
DPD Kazakhstan is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Armadillo Holding GmbH, a joint venture between GeoPost and Yurtiçi Kargo. In Kazakhstan DPD operates three depots, with additional locations planned for later this year.
