Higher Insurance for extra certainty. Your parcels are already insured for up to € 520 per parcel. Of course it’s possible to ship parcels with a higher value. In this case you can make use of our Higher insurance. Your parcels are insured against loss or damage for an higher amount.

Conditions:

• Only possible in combination with DPD CLASSIC (by road)
• Possibility to increase the insurance cover to up to max. € 13.000 per parcel
• An surcharge is applied per graduate scale (per € 500). The surcharge is an amount on top of the DPD CLASSIC (by road) tariff
• The tariffs are published in our brochure CLASSIC-Service in the download centre
• Increase in insurance cover must have been agreed with DPD prior to the shipment of the parcel. Please use the registration form Higher insurance in Excel 2007 or registration form Higher insurance in Excel 97-2003.
• The package of the parcel shipment should be solid and suitable for transport purposes
• Excluded are parcels that already are insured through an alternative Insurance Company
• Excluded as well are parcels not conform our General Terms & Conditions and the additional conditions for the Higher insurance.
• The insurance of parcels does not automatically lead to a financial compensation in case of damage or loss. the payment is subject to DPD having approval from the insurer and receiving the payment from the insurer
