Fuel index Fuel Index May: 15%

Constant fluctuation of fuel prices, in recent years, has led to an important increase in the cost of courier industry. In this direction, courier service providers always adjust their pricing system to the evolution of transport costs.

To provide its customers quality services, DPD introduces fuel index, available for domestic and international services. The fuel index is monthly calculated based on the average fuel price at the pump, the last day of the month preceding the application, at Barbu Văcărescu Petrom Bucharest station. It is available by accessing the website and following the steps: www.petrom.ro - Products and Services> Petrom stations.

Basic price is 3.7 RON / l. For each 0.1 RON / l above that level, it will be plus an index of 1% as shown in the table below

The index has the same value for both domestic and international services. It will be calculated and highlighted on the DPD  invoice , which will provide an opportunity to examine the influence of fuel prices on the cost of logistics. Fuel index is added to the total value of services, excluding VAT
