If available you should use the original packaging. It has to be suitable for transport purposes, which means that the protection it provides is the most important factor – in contrast to sales packaging.
Before using them you should check packaging, sealing material and padding for damage. Any damage should be repaired, or new materials should be used.
You should use soft padding for light goods and harder padding for heavy goods in order to absorb any impact and prevent any penetration.
| All sides must be protected and reinforced.
| The goods must not be able to move around inside the packaging.
| If different products are packed, the packaging should be suitable for the most fragile product.
| Fragile products must not come into contact with the outer packaging.
Empty space for braking distances must not be packed full. This applies above all to original packaging, because transport impact could be transferred to the contents.
| No parts of the contents should stick out of the carton. If this is the case, please use a larger carton.
| Outer packaging should be well sealed and all edges should be protected by adhesive tape.
