RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SENDING PARCELS - DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL

Published: 22/4/2020

In accordance with the recommendations for preventing the transmission of new corona-virus (COVID-19), to avoid close contact with other people and to maintain a distance of at least 1.5 meters from each other, mainly so we can protect your health, health of our customers and our couriers, please adhere to the following recommendations:

- recommended maximum weight of each package: 23 kg,

- the dimensions of the parcel must be such that the parcel can be handled by a single person,

- parcels must not be combined into a consignment (glued together or wrapped together with foil in one larger parcel).

In this way, we will ensure that:

- only one person can pick up, sort and deliver the parcel,

- there is always only one person in the vehicle during collection and service,

- a distance of 1.5 to 2 m between people can be ensured during the transport process.

While packing parcels, we kindly ask you to follow the tips and recommendations listed above.

Thank you for your understanding.

PARCEL DELIVERY AND SECURITY MEASURES

Published: 25/3/2020

In accordance with the recommendations of the national authorities to prevent the spread of corona-virus infections and to protect the health of parcel recipients, our employees and couriers, DPD d.o.o. has taken additional security measures.

In order to prevent the contact of our employees and couriers with other persons as much as possible, we have changed some standard processes and adopted additional measures, which are also published on our website (https://www.dpd.com/si/en/support/terms-of-transport). Depending on the situation in the coming days, our measures will also be adapted and changed. All the measures listed on the website, as well as the measures adopted in the following days, for the stated reasons, until revoked, replace or change individual provisions of our General terms and conditions.

Among the measures we highlight the following:

- Until further notice, couriers will not enter enclosed spaces, for example offices, warehouses, apartment blocks and other premises. Parcels can be received exclusively outdoors, without contact and at a safety distance of at least 1.5 meters.

- Until further notice, due to contactless operations, the recipients are not required to confirm the receipt of the parcels in writing. When handing over the parcel, the courier records the fact that the parcel has been handed over.

- Parcel recipients are urged to choose direct payment at an online merchant (for example payment by proforma invoice or payment via credit cards), whenever possible. This way, they will contribute to the contactless parcel delivery, which cannot be fully guaranteed when paying by cash on delivery. At the same time, all our recipients, regardless of the payment they have chosen when buying from their online retailer, have the option to pay the COD amount cashless via the WSPay service - online payment via a secure online credit card authorisation system in real time and the link to online payment. This means that each recipient of a COD parcel,  upon delivery receives a message about the possibility of paying the COD amount online and a link for online payment. Recipients can pay their parcels online when they get a notification that the parcel is on delivery or when the courier has already arrived at the address. More information about the WSPay service is available on our website (https://www.dpd.com/si/en/receiving-parcels).

- After receiving notification of the planned parcel delivery, recipients can choose for the parcel to be delivered to a safe place (terrace, garage, etc.), which ensures greater security (no physical contact), both for recipients and for our couriers. They can manage their deliveries via our FMP portal (link received by mail or SMS).

All stated measures, as well as the possible new measures, are intended solely to protect the health of parcel recipients and couriers and will last until revoked. We regularly monitor the situation and consult the competent institutions on the recommended measures.

Thank you for your understanding.
