DPD Austria is growing and growing - encouraging half-year results 2019
DPD Austria - Austria's leading private parcel service* - is delighted, as the balance sheet for the first half of 2019 is showing a very positive result: parcel volumes rose by 3.7% to around 24.3 million compared to the first half of 2018. In addition DPD can be satisfied with more than 50,000 registered myDPD users.
DPD parcels are mainly shipped and delivered in Austria. In the period from January to the end of June 2019 this was just over 13 million (+3.5 percent). An additional 2.6 million parcels were shipped abroad, 1.2 percent more than in 2018. 8.6 million parcels from the other European DPD markets reached Austria and were delivered there - an increase of 4.9 percent. Rainer Schwarz comments on this development: “DPDgroup is the second largest parcel service provider and also the fastest growing service provider in Europe. Austrian e-commerce customers benefit immensely from this, among other things in terms of fast delivery times, uniform service standards and the DPD Pickup parcel shop network, which already covers over 40,000 locations.”
