Use of Google - Tools 

a. We use various web analytics and marketing tools from Google on our websites.

We use the web analytics and marketing tool Google Analytics on our website. Google Analytics is a web analytics services from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The cookies used here generate information about your use of this website which is generally transferred to a Google server and stored there. 

Google uses this information on our behalf to analyse your use of our website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide other services for the website operator associated with website and Internet use. b. We also use the Google Adwords service to draw attention to our attractive range of products and services using advertising material on external websites. This tool allows us to accurately determine how successful our individual promotional measures are in relation to specific campaigns. In doing so, we pursue our interest in showing you ads that are relevant to your interests and achieving a fair calculation of advertising costs in this context. 

The ads shown to you are provided by Google via an 'ad server'. We use ad server cookies for this purpose that enable us to measure certain parameters, such as how often advertisements are displayed or the number of user clicks in order to determine the success of promotional campaigns. This functions in such a way that if you reach our website via a Google advertisement, Google Adwords will store a cookie in your browser which generally becomes invalid after 30 days. This cookie is not intended to identify you in person, but to store the unique cookie ID, the number of ad impressions per placement, the last impression (relevant for post-view conversions) as well as opt-out information for analysis purposes. 

We do not collect and process any personal data in the context of Google Adwords, we simply receive statistical analyses from Google which we can use to determine which of our promotional campaigns are particularly effective. 

In addition to the action already described, you can prevent participation in this tracking process by disabling cookies for conversion tracking. c. We also use Google Remarketing which allows us to show you targeted ads when you have left our website. We can show you ads after you have visited our website when you continue to use the Internet. This is done by means of cookies stored in your browser which are used by Google to collect and analyse your user behaviour when you visit different websites.

Google can determine your previous visit to our website, for example, however according to Google processed personal data is pseudonymised in the case of remarketing. 

d. This website uses the online marketing tool DoubleClick by Google. DoubleClick uses cookies to show relevant ads to users, improve campaign performance reports or to prevent users from seeing the same ads several times. Google records which ads are shown in which browser via a cookie ID and can thus prevent ads from being shown on multiple occasions. Moreover, DoubleClick can use cookie IDs to record conversions which refer to ad requests. This is the case, for instance, if a user sees a DoubleClick ad and later visits the website of the website operator using the same browser and purchases something there. According to Google, DoubleClick cookies do not contain any personal data.

Use of Matomo 

Our website uses the web analytics service Matomo. This service collects data for statistical and optimisation purposes. Matomo uses cookies, which are stored on your computer and enable analysis of your use of our service. To this end, the information relating to use generated by the cookie (including your abbreviated IP address) is sent to our server and stored for use analysis purposes. Your IP address is anonymised immediately and consequently you as a user remain anonymous to us. The information generated by cookies regarding your use of this website is not passed on to third parties.
