#pinyourphoto brings our employees together

What is #pinyourphoto and what’s it all about?

We are all slowly returning to the office...
We can look back on an extraordinary period in which direct and personal contact with our co-workers was lacking, and we can now see things gradually getting back to ‘normal’.
At least, to the extent that this is possible.

#pinyourphoto stands for this return to the ‘new normal’:

  • It encourages team spirit as well as our motto of work needing to be fun!
  • It brings us back together because we are only strong together.
  • It forges a bond between us and our newer co-workers.
  • It gives us the opportunity to get to know one another better and build up trust.

#pinyourphoto is an internal photography competition at DPD Switzerland that all the employees can enter. We have set up a photo booth (insert photo) at our headquarters in Buchs, Zurich. And to enable all of our employees at the Swiss depots to enter too, we have sent them starter kits comprising a Polaroid camera, photo booth material and other props.

Our Beekeeper

We have created a dedicated stream within our internal communications platform Beekeeper, where the photos can be shared, commented on and liked. This gives all the employees the opportunity to post their own pictures/photos, share and comment on other pictures internally and view their co-workers’ photos.

The competition starts at the beginning of September and there will be weekly challenges. We will then announce the winner in December.

What does the initiator, Ana Cardoso, think about the competition?

‘I am delighted that this internal photography competition has been so well received. We have a very large number of photos being taken and posted every week. We have also come up with some fantastic themes for the challenges such as taking a photo with co-workers whose first names begin with a vowel or taking a photo with someone who has blue eyes. We have appointed one individual at every depot whose job it is to encourage the employees to take part.
It’s marvellous to see how this competition is bringing our employees together.’

The prize: The lucky winner will receive a one-night stay for two at the 7132 Hotel in Vals. There will also be some ‘pocket money’ for a meal or spa treatments, with DPD purchasing the voucher and presenting it to the winner.

The competition runs until December and we can’t wait to see what photographic impressions and challenges are still to come.

Kind regards,

The entire DPD Switzerland team
