Today, Arton (Depot Manager) answers our questions:
DPD: “You have already worked at several locations – what brought you back to Buchs and what makes this depot special to you?”
Arton: “Over the past three years in Rothenburg, I gained very valuable experience. When I took over the portfolio three years ago, there was still room for growth. Together with my team, we managed to bring it to a very high level. Today, it is among the leading depots in terms of quality, cleanliness and organization.”
DPD: “How has your experience in Rothenburg shaped you in your current role as Depot Manager?”
Arton: “My experience in Rothenburg mainly taught me to make the right decisions in difficult situations without losing control. At the same time, I developed both my operational skills and my human side.”
DPD: “What are currently the biggest challenges in your daily work as a Depot Manager – and what motivates you?”
Arton: “Volume fluctuations: every day brings different volumes, so we have to adapt daily and remain flexible.”
DPD: “How do you typically start your working day – do you have a fixed routine?”
Arton: “First, I check my emails. Then I do a walkthrough of the warehouse to make sure everything is running smoothly and to see where my support might be needed.”
DPD: “What do you enjoy most when you can completely switch off?”
Arton: “I like to spend as much time as possible with my family. It helps me disconnect from the demanding daily routine and recharge my energy.”
DPD: “If your team had to describe you in three words – what would they be?”
Arton: “Responsible, decisive, supportive.”
DPD: “What does ‘good leadership’ mean to you personally?”
Arton: “For me, good leadership means supporting my team, making clear decisions and staying committed even in difficult situations.”
We would like to sincerely thank Arton for the open insights into his daily work and his commitment at the depot. Discover in the next part of our “Depot Story” which other personalities are behind a reliable delivery every day.
