Social responsability

In our eyes, taking responsibility means actively supporting society. DPD Switzerland is involved in numerous social projects. We provide free transport services, support start-ups and young people, work on behalf of disadvantaged children and are involved in the fight against poverty. Social project 6020 Helps: free shop for the needy

The graduating class 3k 2020/21 of the secondary school Erlen in Emmenbrücke has launched a wonderful and exciting project which is for society. Their motto: "Many need help at some point. Especially the Corona time makes you think and made us want to support people"! This was the mission and the starting signal of the graduating class. DPD supports this project as the main sponsor.

Mr Haas, initiator of the project:

Without DPD our project would not have become a reality. With DPD we were finally able to get the big and important sponsor on board who made the difference and ultimately made our project financially possible.

Partner of Venturelab and sponsor of the Swiss Startup Champions

We have been a partner of Venturelab and sponsor of the Swiss Startup Champions since 2016. We support Swiss start-ups by sponsoring the roadshow in Silicon Valley where ambitious start-up entrepreneurs meet leading investors and potential customers. The founders and CEOs of the start-ups also profit from mentoring and leadership expertise. As its partner, we donated 5'000 FFP2 masks to Venturelab during the coronavirus crisis. The masks were distributed to high-tech start-ups where the members of staff needed a mask in order to continue working. The word ‘partnership’ is of great importance to us, which is why we support our partners wherever we can.

Support for the Swiss children’s charity Terre des hommes

Terre des hommes is Switzerland’s leading children’s charity. Switzerland’s largest humanitarian street market has been taking place in March each year for over 55 years. Over two days, 1'500 volunteers sell oranges and make a valuable contribution to traditional orange selling. Terre des hommes started selling crates of oranges to companies in 2011. As an exclusive partner, DPD Switzerland has been in charge of all logistical services and has been supplying the Swiss companies since 2012. DPD employees even volunteer to help out at the street market. The proceeds from the sale of oranges are invested in health projects for children.
