Our charging infrastructure is no longer seen merely as a cost factor, but as a key component in the perfect interplay of network and vehicles. At 12 sites, including the innovative Wolf site, we are actively shaping the future of electromobility.

What is it about?

What is it about?

Logistics fleet electrification goes far beyond simply purchasing electric vehicles and installing charging stations. One key challenge is to avoid overloading the grid and minimise the costs associated with peak loads. Through partnerships, we develop both grid-tied and off-grid solutions to facilitate comprehensive electrification.

Our objectives

Our main goal is to make a significant contribution to the decarbonisation of freight transport. By developing and implementing innovative and economically viable electrification solutions for our logistics fleet, we strive not only to reduce operating costs, but also to generate new revenue streams.

Forward-looking logistics

It takes more to completely electrify the logistics fleet than simply purchasing electric vehicles and installing charging stations. It is crucial not to overload the power supply and to minimise the costs of peak loads – in cooperation with partners. These solutions include bidirectional charging from second life and vehicle batteries, the integration of photovoltaics, intelligent charging management and other innovative technologies. In doing so, we take into account the requirements of the location as well as those of the Swiss power grid. Our solutions optimise the charging strategy and infrastructure and take the pressure off the grid through intelligent energy generation and storage, taking into account technological and economic factors alike.
Our project facilitates the efficient use of limited grid capacities, the development of intelligent charging solutions and the use of vehicles to store electricity. This innovative system makes it possible to manage electricity demand more effectively and enables our electric vehicles not only to draw energy, but also to store it and supply it when needed.
At the heart of our initiative, the DPD site in Wolf serves as a realistic analysis and testing environment. Here, we test and evaluate our strategies under real-world conditions in order to demonstrate the effectiveness of our solutions and optimise them for widespread use.

Long-term objectives

We aim to fully electrify our fleet by 2035 and actively support the Energy Strategy 2050 in the process. Our initiative is setting new standards in the industry and driving the electrification of fleets across Switzerland to achieve a net-zero future together.
