Elimination of customs duties on industrial products as of 01.01.2024

From 1st January 2024, in Switzerland, industrial tariffs on goods classified under Chapters 25 to 97 of the customs tariff will be eliminated, except for certain agricultural products. Customs procedures remain unchanged, but the requirement for a proof of origin for duty-free imports is removed. A valid proof of origin still allows for the application of preferential origin, even with a tariff rate of 0.–.
