As the sender, you play a central role in the event of liability. If a parcel is lost or damaged, you can submit a damage report or an investigation request to DPD.

Liability

Liability is dependent on the type of shipping. DPD accepts no liability in the case of force majeure, for consequential damages and loss of profit and for goods excluded from liability and/or transport in accordance with DPD. Liability is also excluded if the parcel is handed over at terms deviating from the normal terms of delivery at the request of the sender or recipient or deposited with authorisation to deposit.

Reporting deadlines

Externally recognisable damages and losses must be reported in writing to DPD immediately upon delivery and externally non-recognisable damages and losses promptly after their discovery within seven calendar days following delivery.
