The Board of GeoPost SA has appointed Tilmann Schultze as the new Chief Executive Officer.

For the last four years, Tilmann Schultze has been looking after the accounts of major customers at the DPDgroup’s head office in Paris. During this time he has developed and enhanced his team, and in an exchange involving all national affiliates has led the group to an exceptional increase in sales of the European key accounts. Tilmann Schultze was born in Greece and grew up in France. He completed his education and studies in Paris (Paris IX Dauphine: Masters in Business Administration). After holding various posts in Sales Management, in 2007 he became International Sales Director at GeoPost. Tilmann Schultze is married and has two children. He speaks French, German and English and is a German citizen.
Tilmann Schultze is looking forward to the challenges facing him in Switzerland: “Our hybrid network enables us to serve both private and business customers. GeoPost posts results: sustained growth with €5.7 billion in revenue and over 1 billion parcels delivered in 2015
Buchs/Paris, 15th march 2016 - As the Parcels-Express business unit of Le Groupe La Poste which posted revenue of €23,045 billion in 2015, GeoPost continues to grow and posts €5.675 billion in revenue, equating to a 15.3% increase (+9.1% at constant scope and exchange rates). All countries play a part in this momentum, particularly the UK (+17%), Benelux (+14%), Spain (+9.5%), Poland (+9.1%) and Germany (+8%). Such performance was driven by rising volumes (+16.4%) compared to 2014, bringing the total number of parcels delivered worldwide to 1 billion.
Several external growth operations also contributed to the overall growth of the company:
- The acquisition of Systemlogistik in March 2015 enabled GeoPost to increase its stake in DPD GmbH to 93%.
- Through Tigers, GeoPost also acquired the Australian freight forwarding operator WorldLink and the British operator Signet UK.
As GeoPost's international brand, DPDgroup remains the most buoyant European player interms of BtoC growth, which currently accounts for 30% of its volumes. With the largest road network in Europe, its intra-European flows account for the highest market growth in volume and value.
As a result, DPDgroup is ranked second on the European CEP (Courrier Express Parcel) market with a market share of 13.2%.
DPDgroup key success factors in 2015
The year 2015 saw the rolling out of Predict  1-hour service in 22 European countries and the growth of the Pickup network to 22,000 pickup points in 14 European countries.
Production capacity also grew with the opening of several hubs:
- The largest European hub in Hinckley, near Birmingham, is able to process 720,000 parcels a day
- DPD in Lithuania also inaugurated the most modern hub in the Baltics in the city of Kaunas, which is able to process up to 50,000 parcels a day
- Other new hubs were also built:
- in Nagold, Germany, where up to 37,000 parcels are processed every day
- in Courcelles-les-Lens, France, where up to 60,000 parcels are processed every day
- in Guarromán, Spain, with a processing capacity of up to 6,000 parcels per hour
