Verified delivery is an additional national service linked to DPD Private, DPD 10:00, DPD 12:00 and DPD 18:00 services, which ensures delivering the parcel in the right hands. The parcel is handed over to the consignee against an identity check: the consignee submits an identity card, driving licence or passport.
Upon delivery, our courier checks the data on a scanning device and records it. If consignees are not able to prove their identity, the parcel cannot be handed over. In the same time, it is not allowed for the third person to accept the delivery even if this person is granted a power of attorney for it. In such cases, we send the parcel back to the sender who does not have to worry that it would be delivered to wrong or unauthorised persons.
