Are we a good match? Find out for yourself!
DPD is growing all the time - and that's why we have regular job vacancies in parcels sorting/handling, in local transport, in sales and in customer service. Would you like to know what these jobs look like live and in colour? Then check out our videos. Here DPD colleagues give an authentic description of what they do and where the challenges lie.
You make sure everything keeps moving, loading and unloading parcels and operating the telescopic belt conveyor. This requires not just strength but also brains. You are skilled in identifying missing parcel information and apply tried-and-tested standard procedures to keep the parcels rolling along the conveyor lines. This is an ideal job for team players, because the sorting hall team is a closely coordinated unit. (Video in German only)
Contact person, coach, facilitator – as a tour supervisor you work closely with our transport subcontractors and delivery drivers. You provide them with efficient support in their daily operations, offering instructions and information, developing ideas and solving problems. In the process you never lose sight of our operating standards and quality requirements. Your tasks range from the planning of delivery tours right across to documentation. A routine job? No way, because every day is different. (Video in German only)
As a Sales Agent you can look forward to a wide range of exciting and varied tasks in internal sales. No wonder, because you will be working in close cooperation with field sales and with our countrywide sales department. You will research into and acquire new customers, analyse requirements and potentials, draw up offers and arrange sales talks. You will also ensure that our existing customers feel that they receive top support. Thanks to regular training seminars you will always stay right up to date. (Video in German only)
Do you have a passion for persuading people, creating and maintaining contacts and achieving fixed targets? In that case a career as a Sales Professional is definitely the right challenge for you. Your mission: acquiring new customers for DPD and supporting existing customers. This involves direct personal contact and so you will spend a lot of time travelling around in your company car, visiting existing and potential customers. However, you will also make analyses, calculate prices, draw up quotations and carry out negotiations. Your Sales Agent back at the depot will support you in all your activities. What's on the customer's mind, and how can I help? This is the key question behind your work as a Customer Service Agent.
In the front office you will deal with enquiries from customers. They can consist of praise or criticism by telephone, an email enquiry about a DPD product, or even a Facebook post about a technical problem. You can deal with most of these enquiries yourself, and the rest you pass on to the back office.
As a member of the back-office team you deal with enquiries about parcel shipping with DPD, either by telephone or email. For this purpose you apply tried-and-tested standard procedures and use our customer service tools.
The close cooperation between Customer Service and other departments involves real teamwork. It enables you to deal with every issue in a way which is personal, competent and friendly – and which ensures satisfied customers. (Video in German only)
