DPD Germany is part of DPDgroup, the second-largest international parcel delivery network in Europe. Throughout Germany DPD has 76 depots and 6,000 Pickup Parcelshops. A workforce of 8,000 and 10,000 delivery drivers are in daily operation on behalf of the company’s customers. Every year the No. 2 on the German parcels market ships around 320 million parcels.

DPD is focussing its services on the requirements of private consignees, with the aim of achieving a leading role on the German B2C market – as a powerful option for those commercial 2C shippers for whom quality is important. It is DPD's intention to expand its current market share to 15 % by the year 2018 at the latest.

For the logistics industry reducing greenhouse gases is a major challenge, and as a leading provider of parcel and express services we take our responsibility towards the environment very seriously: We have made it our target to achieve a decisive improvement in the carbon footprint of our company. For this reason we have launched carbon-neutral parcel transport in July 2012. Today CO2-neutral parcel shipping is available in most of DPD’s markets throughout Europe.

The E-Shopper Barometer, published in February 2017 for the first time, highlights the main e-commerce trends in Europe and provides an excellent overview of e-shoppers’ online behaviours and preferences. It’s the most extensive report of its kind: On behalf of DPDgroup, Kantar TNS has interview 23,450 participants in 21 countries.
