General & service
Pickup is the name for the parcel shop network operated by DPDgroup. With 28,000 Pickup parcelshops it is the most widely distributed network in Europe.
Our Pickup parcelshop finder will enable you to find the Pickup parcelshops in your area. Choose your preferences from 6,000 Pickup parcelshops in Germany and 27,000 throughout Europe.
We are in the process of expanding our parcel shop network in order to meet the requirements of all consignees. You are welcome to suggest suitable stores or locations for new parcel shops using our online form.
Our Pickup parcelshops are regularly subjected to quality audits. The aspects which are checked also include compliance with the indicated opening times. If you notice any divergence from this you are welcome to contact our team.
There are some goods which can't be shipped via our Pickup parcelshops. These include all goods which are prohibited in DPD's general terms and conditions, as well as parcels which do not have a square or rectangular shape. Further exclusions are:
- hazardous goods, hazardous goods in limited quantity (LQ)
- COD parcels
- Parcels for personal delivery, e.g. medicines.
As soon as we have delivered your parcel to the Pickup parcelshop, you receive notification by email and/or SMS. If you have redirected your parcel or if we have not located you at home, we inform you about the options for pickup on the parcel notification card which is placed in your letterbox. If no day is indicated, your parcel is available for collection immediately.
Parcels which are delivered to the Pickup parcelshop are stored there for 7 calendar days. Calendar days are every day of the week, including Sunday.
Yes, you can also collect your parcel from the Pickup parcelshop without the parcel notification card. We simply need proof of identity in the form of your ID card, for example. If someone else collects your parcel for you, this person must also provide proof of identity, together with the authorisation form filled out by you.
Yes, you are welcome to collect parcels for a family member, friend or acquaintance. To do so you will need proof of identity and an authorisation form filled out by the consignee of the parcel.
Our parcel shop partners will be happy to take delivery of your parcel and transfer it to us for forwarding. However, our shops can provide no further information on the progress of your parcel. To follow your parcel you need our parcel tracking function.
Unfortunately our Pickup parcelshops are unable to accept COD parcels, because they are not authorised to do so.
Yes, at our Pickup parcelshops you are able not just to receive parcels but also to send them. With the Parcel Navigator or the DPD App you can place an order to send or return a parcel and create a mobile parcel label simply by tapping the screen. You then drop the parcel off at one of our 6,000 Pickup parcelshops. In the app you can pay for the mobile parcel label by PayPal or direct debit. A PDF parcel label is also available for you to print out.
Parcel labels can only be purchased at selected Pickup parcelshops, which are marked accordingly.

At selected Pickup parcelshops which accept payment on the spot you can ship parcels of up to 31.5 kg in weight and 1.75 m in length. Please note that parcels which you assign in the Parcel Navigator or the DPD App can have a maximum weight of 20 kg and a maximum length of 1 m.
Because of the features of hazardous goods, such shipments have to be stored separately from other parcels. Our Pickup parcelshops, however, are only a part of the stores in which they are located, which means that separate storage facilities are not available.
Without a return parcel label it is unfortunately not possible to hand in parcels for return at our Pickup parcelshops. If you need a return parcel label, please contact the shipper.
