We regret that attempts are made again and again by third parties to misuse the DPD brand for fraudulent purposes.
Here you will learn everything which is important about current risks relating to the subject of the Internet and emails, and how you can protect yourself against these risks. Please note that fraud is only successful as long as it is not detected and recognised for what it is.
Please note that:
DPD accepts no responsibility for damage which results from the unauthorised use of our name or our brand. This applies in particular to demands for payment which are made for fraudulent purposes.
If you have any questions or wish to provide us with information you can also contact us direct at any time.
We have recently received a number of enquiries about supposed invoices which demand payment of a specific amount of money in the name of "DPD Germany South (GMBH and CO KG)". The address which is given for this alleged company is identical to that of our branch in Heilbronn.
IMPORTANT: DPD expressly points out that this is a case of fraudulent use of the DPD brand. The company with the above name does not exist, and the invoice represents an attempt to defraud. Please do not comply with the demand for payment. DPD is unable to assume liability for any damage which arises from such attempts at fraud.
If you are not sure in individual cases whether a message really comes from DPD and is genuine, you can contact us at any time at firstname.lastname@example.org.
DPD is currently receiving an increasing number of enquiries about text messages (SMS) which refer to what is claimed to be a COD shipment from DPD. These messages provide details of a financial amount which has to be paid in advance.
IMPORTANT: you should never pay a COD amount in advance on the basis of such an SMS. DPD only collects COD amounts when a parcel is actually delivered to the consignee. Consignees then also receive a receipt containing the DPD logo.
If you are requested to make such a payment on the basis of such an SMS, you are advised to inform the police immediately. DPD accepts no liability for any damage which results from payments which are made on this basis. In such an event you are recommended to bring a criminal action.
If you have any questions about COD payments, you can contact us at any time at email@example.com.
To our great regret the DPD brand is currently being used for attempted fraud. This takes the form of favourably priced apartments on online real estate portals. DPD is shown there as an agency for these apartments, offering to send interested parties a key to view the apartments in return for a payment (claimed to be to DPD).
IMPORTANT: we wish to point out that DPD does not carry out any business activities in the real estate field. DPD does not implement services of this kind for real estate portals or estate agents, and does not implement any financial transactions for this purpose. Any demands for payment in this connection are attempts at fraud and are made with the unauthorised use of the DPD name and brand.
DPD urgently warns you not to respond to such demands and not to make payments of this kind! DPD accepts no liability for any damage or loss which results from such payments. In such cases we advise you to report the matter to the police without delay.
If you are confronted by such demands or similar requests and are not sure if the relevant communications really come from DPD and are genuine, you can contact us at any time at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We apologise for any inconvenience!
