DPDgroup renews its participation in the 2019 Polis Annual Conference
On November 27th and 28th in Brussels, DPDgroup attends the Polis Annual Conference, the major event in urban and sustainable mobility. These two days are the opportunity to engage with a large audience of mobility experts and practitioners, as well as private and public representatives.
This year, Dominique Mamcarz, DPDgroup CSR Director, gives his expert’s opinion on the urban mobility ecosystem of tomorrow. To address DPDgroup’s strategy in urban logistics and last-mile delivery from an environmental point of view, Dominique Mamcarz takes part in two round tables:
- “Measuring emissions in cities” on November 27th starting at 2.30 pm
- “Urban vehicle access regulations: consolidation or transition?” with the Deputy Mayor of Lisbon on November 28th at 9.am
Indeed throughout Europe, DPDgroup has rolled out more than 40 smart urban delivery solutions. The strength of DPDgroup lays in its ability to have a global approach whilst adapting perfectly to local specifics.
At DPDgroup we believe that it is key to be a valuable stakeholder, that’s why we engage with city authorities to anticipate and react quickly to new requirements and legislation. The air quality is a real concern for them and for citizens, that’s why we are implementing a project that aims at measuring the air quality through sensors on vans and urban locations such as depots or Pickup points.
Through these innovative services intended to local and regional authorities, DPDgroup addresses urban mobility challenges by becoming a partner of choice.
These initiatives are part of the Smart Urban Delivery priority of our CSR programme DrivingChangeTM, which aims at reducing our CO2 emissions per parcel by 30% by 2025 (vs. 2013), in the view of improving life quality and health in cities.
