DPD now delivers directly to Swiss households' mailbox

Buchs, 10 March 2020 – With DPD PARCELLETTER, DPD Switzerland has launched a new service allowing to send letters. These are deposited directly in the mailbox. Therefore, DPD is positioning itself on a new market segment.

Thanks to DPD PARCELLETTER service, it is possible to send letters weighing between 50 grams and 2 kilos. These maximum dimensions ensure that DPD can place the shipment directly into the mailbox.

This service meets the needs of Swiss consignees thanks to signature-free delivery and mailbox security. It also guarantees a very high delivery rate from the first attempt.

“To begin with, we offer this new service to customers with daily needs. In the future, we will extend it throughout Switzerland and will examine each customer request individually.“

explains Jasmine Zurbuchen, PARCELLETTER Launch Project Director.

PARCELLETTER is delivered in carbon-neutral way, like all the other shipments from DPD Switzerland.

DPD now also delivers international parcels to individuals

DPD Switzerland has recently launched two services for parcel international shipments to individuals with DPD SHOP INTERNATIONAL and DPD COMFORT INTERNATIONAL. Both meet exactly the needs of European online customers. A representative study from DPDgroup shows that e-shoppers from many European countries like to receive their parcels in a Pickup Shop. Thanks to DPD SHOP INTERNATIONAL, it’s now possible.

With DPD COMFORT INTERNATIONAL, the parcel is delivered to the address chosen by the recipient, who previously receives a message notifying about the delivery and time slot. The recipient can follow the delivery in real time, but also benefit from various parcel redirection options, allowing to modify the day or delivery address.
