DPD Ireland receives CCMA Irish Customer Contact and Shared Services Award for its "Best response to Covid-19"

23 November 2020 - “As an essential cog in the supply and logistics chain during the pandemic, DPD Ireland has earned the ‘Outstanding Response to Covid-19’ accolade by dint of their response to an unprecedented surge in demand for their services.”

This was the description of DPD given by Customer Contact Management Association (CCMA) Managing Director Dorothy O'Byrne on Friday, November 20th when describing why the company won the award for “Best response to Covid-19”.

She continued that:

“As the middle man between end customers and suppliers (including the vital pharma and retail sectors) they responded with innovative proactive communications to their partners and end customers and quickly established a hybrid customer service operation during the critical peak period.”

Maeve Dwyer, Head of Customer Services, Quality & Marketing at DPD Ireland:

“Team DPD Ireland was so delighted to receive this CCMA Irish Customer Contact and Shared Services Award. Congratulations to all the other winners and nominees. And thank you to the judging panel, and to all of our DPD team for their consistent hard work. What a great start to the weekend! #WeAreInThisTogether.”

The judging panel was made up of 12 Customer Services Expert Consultants. The CCMA organisation aims at facilitating collaborative shared learning for their members through networking events, operational working groups and at promoting the industry in Ireland.

“CCMA provides a forum for Customer Service organisations to network and learn from each other. Digital disruption continues to transform the role of customer contact centres, impacting on skills and technology required” explains Dorothy O’Byrne.

“We know things are looking different now and we are very conscious of the impact of Covid-19 on our member company operations but we would like to once again recognise the fantastic work and individual and team accomplishments particularly in recent months” explained CCMA.
