SEUR begins work on its new warehouse in Carmona

  • The facilities will have 4 docks for trucks, capacity for 50 vans and 10 recharging points for electric vehicles.

  • It will be dedicated to the management of cross-docking delivery, which allows the company to speed up its deliveries throughout the region.

SEUR announces the start of construction work on its new center in Carmona (Seville), located in the logistics park of that town, which is expected to be operational by the end of this year. These new infrastructures, covering more than 3,000 m2, will be dedicated to cross-docking deliveries, which, thanks to the direct transitions between trucks and delivery vans, without the need to store the products, enable faster deliveries to customers.

The company has made an investment of 5.7 million euros in this new facility, which will be located on a 17,500 m2 plot, with the possibility of expanding in the future due to the size of the site. This operation is part of SEUR's investment plan of 250 million euros up to 2025.

With an expected 4,000 daily shipments, the warehouse will have 4 docks for trucks and will have capacity for 50 vans. In addition, in line with the company's commitment to a low-emission fleet, 10 charging points for electric vehicles will be installed to enable cleaner deliveries, a strategic aspect for the company, which aspires to become the most sustainable company in the sector.

From this new center will be managed all types of packages, including those derived from e-commerce, one of the main growth levers of the company, whose business grew last year by 50% compared to 2019 achieving a turnover of 376 million euros, 45% of SEUR's total turnover.

For Juan Pérez de Lema, SEUR's Director of Haulage and Infrastructures,

"This new center will allow us to optimize our operations in the region and be faster in our deliveries to customers throughout the area. This operation is part of the company's strategy to expand our infrastructure network and our commitment to improving efficiency in all our processes. To achieve this objective, Andalusia is a key point due to its location and logistical power, where we have always had a very important presence, and it will undoubtedly be a region where we will continue to invest and generate employment".
