DPD Portugal distinguished for the 7th consecutive year with the Five Star Award

DPD Portugal's Pickup network is the winner in the category "Parcel delivery at proximity stores"


DPD Portugal's Pickup network, the leading company in the domestic express transport market, was distinguished by the Five Star Award (Prémio Cinco Estrelas) in the category “Parcel delivery at proximity stores” for the 7th consecutive year. The award reflects the recognition of Portuguese consumers, who evaluate the quality, work and excellence of brands that they consider to be, in fact, “Five Stars”.

DPD Portugal's Pickup network is therefore recognized by Portuguese consumers as a preferred option when collecting their parcels, as it provides convenience and proximity to those who sell in drop-off mode, but also to those who buy in pick-up mode.

Today, DPD Portugal has more than 750 operational Pickup points across the country, in addition to 100 lockers. Recently, the company announced the expansion of its out-of-home offer – which includes the Pickup network – with the expansion of its locker network, as a result of the partnership established with Pudo Portugal, in 15 new installations in Sonae Sierra shopping centers . In addition, DPD will continue to invest in expanding this offer, according to Olivier Establet, "more sustainable and more adapted to the current consumer's lifestyle", in order to reach 90% population coverage with access to a Pickup point in less than 10 minutes.

Pickup network is the only SGS-certified parcel delivery and collection network in our country and is also the best in terms of consumer satisfaction who rate the brands applying for the Five Star Award, which measures the degree of satisfaction that the products, services and brands confer to their users. The evaluation process takes into account criteria that influence consumers' purchasing decisions, such as satisfaction with the experimentation, the price-quality ratio, purchase or recommendation intention, and trust in the brand and innovation. In this edition, around 320.000 consumers evaluated and tested, for nine months, 1035 brands.
