Benoît Frette becomes President of Chronopost

Yves Delmas, Executive Vice President of La Poste group, and CEO of GeoPost/DPDgroup has appointed Benoît Frette as President of the French express parcel delivery subsidiary Chronopost. Benoît Frette will begin this new role on 1 July 2022. He will succeed Martin Piechowski who has been President of Chronopost for 11 years and who will leave the company after accompanying Benoît Frette in his new position.

Benoît Frette has 25 years of experience at Chronopost, having held several management positions in operations, sales and customer relations. He will take over a fast-growing company with 4,500 employees, which delivered more than 235 million parcels and achieved a turnover of 1,7 billion euros in 2021.

Benoît Frette will succeed Martin Piechowski 64, who served as President for 11 years.

During these years, Chronopost experienced a period of strong growth thanks to the talent of its teams and its ability to innovate and invest. In 2007, Chronopost successfully moved to the next step with the creation of the Chilly-Mazarin hub, followed by a long-term investment plan (400 million euros over nearly 10 years) that has strengthened the company's territorial coverage (around 100 sites to date) and provided it with national and regional hubs equipped with  state-of-the-art IT systems and technology.

These investments have made it possible to launch new activities, such as Chronofresh in 2015, which specialises in the transport of temperature-controlled food products, and to develop services for healthcare professionals and out-of-home deliveries (Shop2Shop relay-to-relay offer). At the same time, Chronopost made significant progress in terms of sustainable development. Between 2015 and 2020, CO2 emissions per parcel have been reduced by 25%.  Since 2019 25 million euros have been invested to renew the fleet, which now consists of 1,200 low-emission vehicles.

Benoît Frette says :

"After years of growth and a significant acceleration since the appearance of COVID-19, I have clear ambitions to pursue our strategy, together with the 4,500 employees of Chronopost, by ensuring the success of our new growth engines now live, while remaining a forerunner in sustainable delivery”.
