For Christmas, five Pickup connected lockers transformed into Advent calendars

As the festive season approaches, Pickup, a subsidiary of La Poste Groupe and France's leading network of lockers, has transformed five of its connected lockers in metro and RER stations in the Paris region into advent calendars. This unique initiative, carried out in partnership with RATP Travel Retail, is helping to bring the magic of Christmas to life in stations. This festive display also has a very practical element for the network's passengers, who will also see an array of gift ideas!

RATP passengers will not find chocolate inside this advent calendar, no. Even better than that, Pickup is sharing its Christmas gift ideas with you!   25 gift ideas to be exact, that's 1 idea per day and per box, in the run-up to Christmas! Let's face it, we've all been asking ourselves the same question lately: what gift am I going to get? For my mother? For my best friend? For my beloved? For my granny?

So here's an original way to help passengers solve this problem. It's a way of making life easier for them, with gift ideas to suit all tastes and budgets!

Pickup lockers: a useful way to pick up your Christmas shopping

Making life easier for RATP passengers is also what Pickup set out to do when it rolled out its first lockers in the transport network almost a year ago. The thirty or so lockers now located at stations provide a quick and easy means for passengers to retrieve their Chronopost and Colissimo parcels ordered from one of the 90,000 e-retailers offering the Pickup out-of-home delivery service.

To guarantee optimal order security in these busy locations, the Pickup lockers can only be opened with a unique code, which is only sent to the recipient of the parcel.

“Our lockers can be accessed throughout the day, giving shoppers real flexibility when it comes to picking up their online purchases. The service should prove popular during the festive period, when orders are flooding in and time is often short.

Maxime d'Hauteville, Chairman of Pickup

But what gift will you receive in these Pickup lockers? A manga?  Wireless headphones? A personalised photo album? Make sure you check them out for yourself and get some great gift ideas!

Where are the lockers located?

The Pickup - RATP Travel Retail advent calendar inspired lockers are located in 5 different stations of the RATP network, on the RER A and on several Parisian metro lines:
