DPD Austria – Number 1 private parcel pickup network

  • Currently 2,200 DPD Pickup parcel shops and stations throughout Austria
  • Every Pickup parcel shop can be reached in 15 minutes
  • Pickup parcel stations "open" around the clock
  • myDPD app supports parcel management

DPD Austria (Direct Parcel Distribution Austria GmbH) - Austria's leading private parcel service* - already achieved an annual target in the first quarter of 2022: 2,200 parcel shops and stations are currently available, throughout Austria, for parcel pickup and shipment.

"Our focus is always on the best possible customer service, which is why it was strategically important for DPD to consistently invest in our network of parcel shops and parcel stations. This has paid off, especially in the past two years,"

says Rainer Schwarz, Managing Director of DPD Austria, and adds:

"Together with our cooperation partners, we were able to offer our customers a comprehensive service even in lockdown times and we continue to build this consistently."

In 15 minutes to the nearest pickup parcel shop

Of all the 2,200 parcel delivery and collection points, around 1,900 are classic parcel shops, spread all over Austria. Parcel service can be found in pharmacies, drugstores, petrol stations, tobacco shops, flower and wine shops or mobile phone shops, but also at grocery stores like BILLA, BILLA Plus, in A1 shops, at Pagro or NDK. The latest DPD parcel shop partner is Adler fashionstores. Parcels can be picked up and dropped off everywhere, and DPD shipping boxes can be purchased. Rainer Schwarz emphasizes:

“85 percent of the parcel shops are open after 6 p.m., many also at the weekend. In addition, 95 percent of the population can reach them within 15 minutes. You can find your nearest parcel shop or parcel station quickly and easily using our 'shop finder' on our website dpd.at or in the myDPD app."

Pickup parcel stations are "open" around the clock

Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to send, collect and return parcels – this is what around 300 parcel stations that DPD Austria operates with its cooperation partners A1, MYFLEXBOX and Storebox, offer.

"Innovative solutions like this are an important measure for the last mile, which requires a great deal of flexibility,"

says Rainer Schwarz, and adds:

"We offer our customers the opportunity to deliver their package at locations that are easy to reach and always accessible - such as  train stations - around the clock for pick up or return."

myDPD app as a success story

The myDPDApp has proven to be the ideal organizational tool for receiving and sending parcels. A variety of functions - from parcel tracking via live tracking to reassignment to specifying a desired parcel shop - make parcel management extremely easy. Both the mobile parcel label and the delivery preferences can be done with a "swipe". More than 350,000 Austrians are currently convinced of the numerous advantages of the myDPD platform and app and are therefore regular customers.
