- Cooperation with experts is crucial for the development of the B2C market, which is currently covering the distribution of more than 50% of all parcels.
- A unique service that will make the buying experience easier for the customers of E. Leclerc Drive online store.
Constancy, growth and stability are watchwords for DPD Slovenia's performance. In recent years this has also been reflected in the B2C market, which already represents more than 50% of total DPD parcel distribution in Slovenia. For further development of this segment is crucial that we cooperate with experts, whose expertise is based on many years of experience and commitment to customised solutions. DPD Slovenia has recently created one such solution in collaboration with E. Leclerc Drive online store. With their knowledge and experience, they will help the store with its continued growth.
DPD Slovenia has been providing their flexible and user-friendly service for the last 12 years, but in all this time they have not run out of challenges. In the last month of the year, they are presenting one of most complex services offered. Customers, that will make a purchase on the E. Leclerc Drive online store, will have the option to get their cart delivered to their home address.
The first E. Leclerc Drive in Slovenia was opened in 2014. The online store currently has 16,000 registered clients, who can choose between more than 10,000 products. The online store is open to customers 24 hours per day and 7 days per week, and in order to make the buying experience even more customer friendly, they have decided to take the next step with DPD Slovenia as the main actor.
Fast and safe delivery
Until now customers who made their purchase on the E. Leclerc Drive online store had the option of picking up their products in Moste and Rudnik. Since this was a problem for a number of customers, the company E. Lecerc Drive decided to upgrade their existing offer and provide customers with a new and efficient solution - food delivery to their home. This solution will also include delivery of fresh products making this a unique delivery service in Slovenia.
Food delivery service requires DPD Slovenia to take a completely different approach. Drivers are specially trained for this, and heavy goods vehicles are equipped with the possibility of adjusting the temperature, which ensures that products arrive at their destination in the same form as they left the warehouse (frozen or fresh). Delivery time is carefully assessed, and storing of this type of goods is completely different.
"This service presents a number of challenges to us, which are warmly welcomed in our company, and is considered as the next logical step and upgrade to our product portfolio. We are aware of how exhausting shopping can be at this time of the year. Home delivery of products will at first be limited to Ljubljana and surrounding area, but if necessary the delivery area will be expanded. We are happy to offer this service to our clients and save them some valuable time”, says Igor Jakovljević, managing director of DPD Slovenia.
And how exactly will the delivery be carried out after the customer confirmation? Samir Handanagič, managing director of GT Drive Slovenija ensures that the delivery in the test period itself will be possible on the very next day. "If the customer submits their order online on Friday at 9 pm, the purchase will be delivered on Saturday. We will upgrade our service in February and provide our customers with home delivery on the same day. Shortly we will expand delivery areas to the places outside of Ljubljana - also Kranj with its surroundings. In this manner, we will try to get even closer to our customers, and we believe that we are on the right path to success. We are expecting an increase in online sales, and at the same time we believe that we will attract a whole new group of people."
