Commercial invoices: for all exports to countries outside the EU.
Customs regulations require you to file declarations for all shipments of goods or documents to destinations outside the EU. This means you need to provide an accompanying commercial invoice or pro-forma invoice. The difference is simple:
- Send commercial invoices if the goods have commercial value,
- Send pro-forma invoices if the goods have no commercial value.
Commercial and pro-forma invoices both provide the consignor’s and consignee’s details, a full description of the contents of the shipment and details regarding their value. They are signed by the consignor, who sends the original and three copies with the parcel.
We have prepared an online form for you here, to help you to create your commercial or pro-forma invoices and print them out on your company stationery.
