What kind of invoices are required for a shipment to the United Kingdom?

For a shipment to the United Kingdom it is mandatory for both the Dutch and British customs to be able to present an invoice. DPD has agreed with customs that there is no need for a printed paper invoice, but that a digital invoice is sufficient. All items in the parcel must be clearly described on the invoice. You do not have to send the digital invoice with the data, but only to show it if customs itself asks for it. The customer service of DPD will request this from you, so keep it close at hand at all times.

Do you send your parcel via DPD's online shipping service? Then you will be asked for this information in the customs declaration. We use this information for the digital invoice.
