Who is actually behind your parcel delivery? In our blog series called “Depot Story”, we offer you a personal insight into the daily work of our depot employees. Day after day, they ensure that your parcels reach their destination reliably through commitment, experience and team spirit. Get to know the people behind the scenes who achieve great things – authentic, approachable and with exciting insights into their tasks, challenges and motivations.
Today, Granit (Supervisor Dispatch) answers our interesting questions:
DPD: «How long have you been part of the DPD family and what motivated you to join DPD at the time?»
Granit: «I have been part of DPD for 10 years. Back then, a colleague encouraged me to apply at DPD and start my professional career there.»
DPD: «You have gone through many different roles – which one shaped you the most and why?»
Granit: «Each of my previous roles has shaped me in its own way, as every position comes with its own challenges. These challenges are exactly what motivate me to continuously develop myself and learn new things.»
DPD: «How did your daily work routine change after moving from Buchs to Bern?»
Granit: «Changing cantons was not easy at first. However, thanks to the positive corporate culture at DPD, no matter which location you work at, over time you feel at home.»
DPD: «What motivated you to start at DPD back then – and what keeps you here today?»
Granit: «I was particularly fascinated by the fact that DPD offers recipients a delivery time window of only one hour. I wanted to understand how this is implemented logistically and whether it really works so reliably. What keeps me at DPD to this day is the family-like environment and the fact that my ideas are taken seriously and appreciated.»
DPD: «What advice would you give to new employees?»
Granit: «Work hard, trust your instincts, and keep going.»
DPD: «What is something that should never be missing in your free time?»
Granit: «Spending time with my children is very important to me and something that should never be missing in my free time.»
We sincerely thank Granit for the exciting insights and his daily commitment. Stay tuned for more stories from our “Depot Story” series and get to know more employees who contribute every day to reliable parcel delivery.
