“Spotlight: Your role at DPD” offers an exclusive look behind the scenes of our team at DPD. 1. How long have you been working at DPD?

My journey at DPD began as a temporary employee for a few months. I completed my apprenticeship elsewhere before returning to DPD in 2018 as a driver at Bertschi Kurier. That lasted three years in total. In 2021, I was given the opportunity to work directly for DPD as a logistics coordinator. I was very pleased to accept the role and was promoted to Outfeed Team Leader in November 2022.

 

2. What is your job at DPD and what do you particularly like about it?

As Outfeed Team Leader, I have the privilege of leading an 18-strong team consisting of temporary and permanent employees. I am delighted with this assignment and the trust placed in me. Amongst other things, I am responsible for all processes during the early shift. These include, for example, scanning, inspecting and unloading the swap bodies, overseeing the small parcel process, ensuring the safety of our employees and, if necessary, supporting our drivers and dispatchers in any way I can.

 

3. Do you like working in a team?

I really enjoy working in a team. I have to say that our entire team at DPD complements one other well and that everyone always supports and helps one other, even when support is needed across departments.

 

4. How do you spend your time outside of work?

Outside of work, I have a 3 ½ year old dog that takes up a lot of my free time but also forces me out into the great outdoors. When I’m out with friends, the dog is usually always with me. I also have six cats, which I very much enjoy looking after. I love all my animals and am very grateful to have them by my side.

 

5. What season do you like best and why?

I like spring and autumn best. Why? Because the climate is the most comfortable for me at these times of the year. Summer quickly gets too warm and winter quickly becomes too cold, so spring and autumn are my favourite seasons.

 

6. Do you have a talent and if so, what is it?

In my family, we are very musical. I was a member of a choir when I was young and I still love singing to this day.
