DPD Taiwan becomes one of the important players in the Farglory FTZ’s “19+N” plan

DPD Taiwan was invited to attend a joint press conference hosted by the Taoyuan City Government, Taoyuan Aerotropolis, and Farglory Free Trade Zone (FTZ).  We witnessed the unveiling of a significant project - the "19+N" Aerotropolis Free Trade Zone. During this event, the three parties reached an MOU agreement and announced the initiation of joint investment promotion for the zone. DPD Taiwan will play a crucial role in this collaboration.

The key advantage of this collaboration is leveraging the expansive land of the Aerotropolis and its strategic location in the Asia-Pacific region, combined with the advantages of the Farglory Free Trade Port Zone, the focus will be on promoting the development of six major industries: cloud computing and AI, international logistics and distribution, aviation support industries, biotechnology, green energy, and smart vehicles. As DPD Taiwan, with sustainability as one of our missions, we are excited to participate in this significant collaborative project within these six major industries.Simultaneously, Farglory FTZ aspires to become the world's second-largest Asia-Pacific logistics center. Situated in the core of the Asia-Pacific region, with an average flight time of just 2.5 hours to major cities, it stands at the center of the Northeast and Southeast Asia, complemented by geographic advantages such as dual seaports (Taoyuan Airport and Taipei Port).

FTZ also boasts unique customs advantages, including 'inbound and outbound,' 'convenient customs clearance,' and 'tax benefits.' The zone is vibrant with 19+N services, including warehousing, transshipment, assembly, manufacturing, maintenance, trade, and logistics. Well-known global custom computer manufacturers, for instance, leverage Taiwan's processing and production capabilities and the advantages of the Free Trade Zone to store goods and enjoy tax benefits, choosing Taiwan as the global shipping logistics center for their enterprise.

As a vital member of Far Eastern Free Trade Port and Taoyuan Aerotropolis, we fully support the development of this plan and provide DPD's 'Global Transportation and Logistics Solutions' accumulated over the years in Taiwan to enhance the competitive advantage of international enterprises, bringing more business opportunities for the DPD Group and the global market.

DPD Taiwan is set to officially launch Taiwan's Asia-Pacific logistics center services at Farglory Free Trade Port by the end of 2023, providing the latest options for warehousing and consolidated shipping in the Asia-Pacific market for DPD Group and DPD's global customers. This is the preferred choice for multinational corporations establishing shipping warehouses and specific bonded supply chains in the Asia-Pacific region. Stay tuned for more good news!
