DPD: ‘Who are you as a company and what sets you apart?‘
Jakob Lang: ‘We are a well-established family business, which has existed since 1867. A global specialist for hand-knitting yarns.
What sets us apart? As a company, we operate in the top segment of this niche market. Our vision: we create dreams out of yarn. What exactly do we mean by that? Our own customer surveys show that the majority of our customers use our products because they like them, can relax with them and enjoy creating something with their own hands. In short, it’s about doing something good for yourself and having a good time.

Our mission: How do we make sure our customers have a good time? We develop innovative yarns including innovative ideas around the topic: ‘All the things you can make with our yarn’. It is very important to us, in addition to the product itself, to develop inspiration for our customers.‘

DPD: ‘Describe DPD in three words.‘
Jakob Lang: ‘If I had to choose three words, they would be: Personal, competitive and inexpensive.‘

DPD: ‘What is particularly important to you in a collaboration?‘
Jakob Lang: ‘In general, it is important for us to have and maintain a very open and personal relationship when working with partners and customers. The advantage of this from my point of view: being able to make quick and direct decisions and having short communication channels. Last but not least, needs must be met. For me, it is precisely these points that are being realised at DPD and which lead to this excellent collaboration.‘

DPD: ‘How long have you been working with DPD?‘
Jakob Lang: ‘I joined the company in 1994 and can’t remember that we have ever worked with another logistics partner since then.‘

DPD: ‘What are the three main reasons for the collaboration?‘
Jakob Lang: ‘The personal contact and access to the organisation through our contact person, who really does a great job.
Flexibility. DPD always tries to meet our needs, and this works really well in Switzerland. The very good quality of the service.‘
