DPD China Launch Event and Franchisee Ceremony Held in Shanghai

The meeting kicked off with an elegant and dynamic dance performance. Charles Chu, Managing Director of LENTON China, first welcomed and introduced the guests of the conference. Afterwards Mrs. Morty Langslow took the stage. In her speech, Mrs. Morty Langslow said that “LENTON Group has grown into an international company through close cooperation with important postal services and keeping up with the e-commerce trend in the past ten years, all the while promoting its advantages in commercial clearance, gateway operations and expanding its international network, maintaining its status as the preferred partner for cross-border logistics.

This was followed by Mr. Olivier Storch who spoke on behalf of La Poste and DPDgroup. Mr. Olivier Storch stated that “DPD has achieved great success in the last mile delivery market in Europe. The European market has great potential." He is confident and very much looking forward to DPD's entering China, and believes that this will be a win-win cooperation.

In the second part of the conference, Mr. Charles Chu, Managing Director of LENTON China, Mr. Jean-Claude Sonet, Marketing Director of DPD Group, and Mr. Johnson Zhang, Commercial Director of LENTON China, delivered their speeches respectively.

Mr. Charles Chu introduced the history of LENTON Group, current business activities in China, and the global logistics network that LENTON is proud of. He believes that DPDgroup and LENTON China complement each other in all aspects. The cooperation between the two groups will bring quality and unique one-stop solutions for door-to-door cross-border logistics.

Next, Mr. Jean-Claude Sonet introduced the development of DPDgroup with the theme of “DPD – A Closer Connection with Our Customers”. He demonstrated DPD's intensive express network in Europe and highlighted the unique features of DPD's signature service “Predict” and “Pickup”.

Finally, Mr. Johnson Zhang's presentation "DPD in China - return & reshape" was based on an analysis of the international situation. He then explained the existing opportunities and development strategies of DPD China, and looked forward to a bright future for a win-win cooperation between DPD and LENTON China.

At the end of the conference, DPD Group and LENTON Group jointly authorized franchisee certificates for the franchisees who joined the programme in the very beginning, and awarded the Outstanding Contribution Award and the Best Partner Award to thank the franchisees and partners who have made great contributions to the early stage of the project.  Mr. Olivier Storch, Mr. Charles Chu, Mr. Jean-Claude Sonet, and Mr. Johnson Zhang presented the awards and certificates to its rightful owners. After the ceremony, the conference has come to a successful end.
