If previously PIN codes were used only for receiving parcels from parcel lockers, then from now on we also apply PIN-code-based parcel receiving for courier deliveries to private customers addresses.
The SMS notification informing the customer about the arrival of the parcel now also includes a 4-digit PIN code, which must be provided to the courier when receiving the parcel. When using a PIN code, there is no need to sign on the courier’s scanner, and the PIN code may also be shared with a family member or friend for parcel reception.
If delivery with a PIN code is not possible (for example, if the customer has not received the SMS message), the parcel can also be handed over by confirming receipt with a signature.
Receiving a parcel with a PIN code is fast, convenient, and contact-free.
