Delivery You Don’t Have to Think About

Most people judge a delivery by one thing: did it arrive on time? But inside our business, the picture looks very different.

For our Cape Town Branch Manager, delivery is shaped long before a parcel reaches a doorstep, and it’s this mindset that also earned him the 2026 CEO Award for Most Improved Branch. He believes planning, systems, and people all carry equal weight, and this is the fuel that continues to drive excellence in his team.

Running a branch means staying close to the detail while keeping the bigger picture in view, and he believes the real strength of DPD is how quickly teams are able to adapt when something needs to shift.

“DPD remains exceptionally agile in its approach,” he says. “Our ability to adapt and remain flexible is driven by a senior team that promotes free-thinking, always looking for ways to improve both customer and employee experiences.”

As a branch manager he believes that the job is never done, and there’s always room to grow. “It’s important to build fast, fail fast and continually explore opportunities to improve, regardless of performance.”

 

This thinking and way of working is what makes every delivery run smoothly and feel effortless for both sender and recipient.
