  • Where can I find the DPD Shipping and the instructions for this application?
    All about the application incl. instructions can be found here.

  • Can I still use DPD CZ (formerly Geis Parcel) shipping labels?
    The physical label ("paper") is not important at this time, you can still use the original one. But what matters is the information printed on the label. Currently you have to use the Direct Parcel Distribution systems for printing the labels according to the instructions we already sent you by e-mail.
  • Some specific features/services in DPD Shipping do not work, how come?
    Some in-app services are not yet active at this time. DPD Collection Request service in the app will be launched gradually, until then please contact the Customer care department - tel. 225 373 373, e-mail: [email protected]

Thanks to the fusion of Direct Parcel Distribution CZ and DPD CZ (formerly Geis Parcel), you will be able to use the services of the biggest private parcel carrier in the Czech Republic. The legal merge of both of the companies will take place on 31 December 2020 and the integration of operation procedures and systems will be accomplished at the end of January 2021.

To be able to continue to provide you with our top quality services, it is necessary for you to take some steps allowing you a smooth sending of parcels after the merge of the two companies.

Please pay attention to the following lines that contain important information for you as regards the merge of the two companies.

The merger of both of the companies and the acquisition of the DPD CZ company

  • On 31 December 2020, the DPD CZ (formerly Geis Parcel CZ) and Direct Parcel Distribution CZ companies will be merged and they their final legal fusion will take place.

  • After the merger, the DPD CZ company will cease to exist individually. As a result of the merger, the DPD CZ company will cease to exist, as well as its current Company Identification Number and VAT Number. Simultaneously, Direct Parcel Distribution CZ s.r.o. will take over all the rights and obligations of the DPD CZ company.

  • Therefore, we will now be issuing invoices with new business data: Direct Parcel Distribution CZ s.r.o., Modletice 135, 251 01 Říčany u Prahy, ID: 61329266, VAT number: CZ61329266

Transition to systems and labels of the Direct Parcel Distribution CZ company

  • On 28 and 29 January 2021, there will be a transition to standard systems of the Direct Parcel Distribution CZ company.

  • This transition will include the change of the software connection, new application for making transport orders, as well as a new format of shipping labels.

  • Over the whole month of January 2021, the newsletters will be providing information for you about the transition and all the important steps you will have to take.

Frequently asked questions

  • How shall I order DPD or DPD CZ (formerly Geis Parcel CZ) parcels?

The "D-day", i.e. the decisive day of the transition to the Direct Parcel Distribution shipping labels, was Friday, January 29, 2021. From this date, the parcels must be labeled with Direct Parcel Distribution shipping labels. It is no longer possible to use the original DPD CZ s.r.o. shipping labels (formerly Geis Parcel). Collection of parcels, which is taking place on 29 January 2021 and later, must already be ordered in the Direct Parcel Distribution system.

  • Will I have the same time of collections as before?

Yes, there are no changes as regards the collection times at the moment. As the integration continues, there might be some changes in some cases. We will inform you about these in time.

  • Can I hand over my Geis parcel to a DPD courier?

You should already be ordering courier services only from DPD (Direct Parcel Distribution CZ) company now and hand over the parcel to the courier of this company, too.

  • How/where can I track my parcels? At DPD or Geis?

You can track the shipping of your parcels via the DPD websites www.dpd.cz. Just use the "Where is my parcel?" search field on the homepage.

  • Who will be delivering/collecting the parcels? DPD or DPD CZ (Geis Parcel CZ) company? Or both of them?

As of January 29, 2021, your parcels are transported only with the shipping labels of DPD (Direct Parcel Distribution CZ) and therefore they will be delivered/collected only by DPD couriers. 

  • Can I have my parcel sent to the Geis point/DPD Pickup point?

As of 1 February 2021 all customers are using only the newly merged  pickup points network od DPD Pickup enabling them to choose from more than 1350 pickup points in the Czech Republic and access to more than 42000 pickup points all over Europe.

  • Will I be able to pick up my parcel at the DPD CZ (Geis Parcel CZ) or DPD Pickup point?

You can pick up your parcel at the pickup point selected by senders when they order transport. As of 1 February 2021 all customers are using only the newly merged  pickup points network od DPD Pickup enabling them to choose from more than 1350 pickup points in the Czech Republic and access to more than 42000 pickup points all over Europe.

  • Who shall I contact? The DPD or Geis customer service?

The customer service, as one of the parts of the companies, has been integrated already since 1 August 2020. You can contact directly our Customer Service department via our contact form and we will get back to you as soon as possible.   • Where can I possibly complain about the parcel shipping?

The complaint procedure and the Complaint Regulations are unified now for both of the companies here. 

  • What do I, as a customer, get thanks to the DPD and Geis merger?

Customers of both of the companies will enjoy a broad network of depots and pickup points (1 350). Thanks to the DPDgroup, Geis Parcel CZ customers will get a connection to the biggest courier network in Europe with more than 42 000 pickup points and delivering to 230 countries all over the world.

  • I am serving the XY depots now, will I be able to continue to do so?

Yes, nothing changes for you. During the integration, we will analyse and gradually optimize the whole logistic network, however, we do not have any further details available now. Major changes are planned for the second quarter of 2021. We will inform you in time about these changes, it is possible that after them the address of your home depot might be different.

  • What price conditions will I have? Will DPD increase its prices for me?

In order to harmonize the business conditions for all customers, we have decided to keep in force only the General Terms and Conditions of the successor company Direct Parcel Distribution CZ s.r.o., which on 29 January 2021 fully replaced the original General Terms and Conditions of the defunct company DPD CZ s.r.o., and became an inseparable part of contractual arrangements. Another integral part of these new General Terms and Conditions is the Price List of Surcharges and the document Main and Additional Services, which describes in detail all the services offered by Direct Parcel Distribution CZ s.r.o.

Due to the above changes, customers were assigned a new price list or they were contacted by our sales representative.

  • Does the Direct Parcel Distribution company provide also cash on delivery services? How is the cash on delivery payment collected - by card or in cash?

Yes, we do provide the cash on delivery services. With regard to the current situation, we prefer payment by card. You can find the full offer of your services on our website in Our services bookmark.

  • The DPD CZ (Geis Parcel) company has provided international shipping for me as well, will this still be possible?

Yes, the Direct Parcel Distribution CZ company also provides also international shipping. You can find the full offer of your services on our website in Our services bookmark.

  • What are the differences in calculating the volumetrics (volumetric mass), tolls, fuel surcharge and other surcharges?

There are no changes to the current Terms and Conditions you have agreed upon with the DPD CZ (Geis Parcel CZ) company. You will be duly informed about their merger with the Terms and Conditions of DPD. The current amount of the fuel surcharge can be found on our website.

  • Will you be introducing new services?

DPD is a traditional leader in the field of innovations (e.g. parcel delivery in a one-hour time window) and strives for the highest possible standard of provided services. We are constantly adapting our offer of services in order to meet our customers needs.

  • Will I have to change my systems? Or the connection for my online shop?

Yes, it is very likely that your system of connection to DPD will have to be changed. Starting on January 29, 2021, it is important to have your parcels labeled with Direct Parcel Distribution shipping labels. It is no longer possible to use the original DPD CZ s.r.o. shipping labels (formerly Geis Parcel). Collection of parcels, which is taking place on 29 January 2021 and later, must already be ordered in the Direct Parcel Distribution system.   • Can DPD connect customers who have their own software?

  • Will you be able to migrate data from GClient into My DPD system?

We sent all information to our customers via e-mail. Detailed instructions and information about DPD Shipping application can be found here.

  • Will I be able to continue to ship e.g. pallets?

Pallet shipping remains the scope of business of Geis CZ with which we will very closely cooperate in the form of logistic projects. DPD focuses exclusively on parcel shipping in compliance with its long-term strategy.
