Thanks to the fusion of Direct Parcel Distribution CZ and DPD CZ (formerly Geis Parcel), you will be able to use the services of the biggest private parcel carrier in the Czech Republic. The legal merge of both of the companies will take place on 31 December 2020 and the integration of operation procedures and systems will be accomplished at the end of January 2021.

To be able to continue to provide you with our top quality services, it is necessary for you to take some steps allowing you a smooth sending of parcels after the merge of the two companies.

Please pay attention to the following lines that contain important information for you as regards the merge of the two companies.

The merger of both of the companies and the acquisition of the DPD CZ company

  • On 31 December 2020, the DPD CZ (formerly Geis Parcel CZ) and Direct Parcel Distribution CZ companies will be merged and they their final legal fusion will take place.

  • After the merger, the DPD CZ company will cease to exist individually. As a result of the merger, the DPD CZ company will cease to exist, as well as its current Company Identification Number and VAT Number. Simultaneously, Direct Parcel Distribution CZ s.r.o. will take over all the rights and obligations of the DPD CZ company.

  • Therefore, we will now be issuing invoices with new business data: Direct Parcel Distribution CZ s.r.o., Modletice 135, 251 01 Říčany u Prahy, ID: 61329266, VAT number: CZ61329266

Transition to systems and labels of the Direct Parcel Distribution CZ company

  • On 28 and 29 January 2021, there will be a transition to standard systems of the Direct Parcel Distribution CZ company.

  • This transition will include the change of the software connection, new application for making transport orders, as well as a new format of shipping labels.

Frequently asked questions

  • How shall I order DPD or DPD CZ (formerly Geis Parcel CZ) parcels?

If you send parcels with both of the companies, you can continue to do so. The current Terms and Conditions, the way of ordering or prices you have agreed on with the company do not change in any way now and all services will be provided to you the way you have been used to in the DPD CZ company (formerly Geis Parcel CZ).

  • Will I have the same time of collections as before?

Yes, there are no changes as regards the collection times at the moment. As the integration continues, there might be some changes in some cases. We will inform you about these in time.

  • Can I hand over my Geis parcel to a DPD courier?

You should already be ordering courier services from the DPD CZ (formerly Geis Parcel) company now and hand over the parcel to the courier of this company, too. Redirecting parcels between DPD and DPD CZ (Geis Parcel) is not possible at the moment.

  • How/where can I track my parcels? At DPD or Geis?

You can track the shipping of your parcels via the websites of both of the companies: www.dpdcz.cz for tracking parcels of DPD CZ (formerly Geis Parcel CZ) or www.dpd.cz for tracking parcels of DPD (Direct Parcel Distribution CZ). 

  • Who will be delivering/collecting the parcels? DPD or DPD CZ (Geis Parcel CZ) company? Or both of them?

Until the full merger of both of the companies, your parcels might be delivered by couriers of both of the companies. In the same time, the current Terms and Conditions, way of ordering or prices agreed with us do not change. We will inform you in time about the planned changes resulting from the merger of both companies.

  • Can I have my parcel sent to the Geis point/DPD Pickup point?

The pickup point is selected by senders when they order transport. The Geis Point and DPD Pickup point will work separately until the full merger of both of the companies. Redirection of parcels between the DPD Pickup point and Geis Point is not possible at the moment.

  • Will I be able to pick up my parcel at the DPD CZ (Geis Parcel CZ) or DPD Pickup point?

You can pick up your parcel at the pickup point selected by senders when they order transport. However, until the full merger of both of the companies, redirection of parcels between the DPD Pickup point and Geis Point is not possible at the moment.

  • Who shall I contact? The DPD or Geis customer service?

The customer service, as one of the parts of the companies, has been integrated already since 1 August 2020. You can contact directly our Customer Service department via our contact form and we will get back to you as soon as possible.   • Where can I possibly complain about the parcel shipping?

The complaint procedure and the Complaint Regulations are unified now for both of the companies here. 

  • What do I, as a customer, get from the DPD and Geis merge?

Customers of both of the companies will enjoy a broad network of depots and pickup points (1 350). Thanks to the DPDgroup, Geis Parcel CZ customers will get a connection to the biggest courier network in Europe with more than 42 000 pickup points and delivering to 230 countries all over the world.

  • I am serving the XY depots now, will I be able to continue to do so?

Yes, nothing changes for you.During the integration, we will analyse and gradually optimize the whole logistic network, however, we do not have any further details available now.Major changes are planned for the second quarter of 2021. We will inform you in time about these changes, it is possible that after them the address of your home depot might be different.

  • What price conditions will I have? Will DPD increase its prices for me?

At the moment, there are no changes as regards the current contractual conditions, ways of making orders or agreed prices with the Geis Parcel CZ company, and all services will be provided to you the way you have been used to.

  • Does the Direct Parcel Distribution company provide also cash on delivery services? How is the cash on delivery payment collected – by card or in cash?

Yes, we do provide the cash on delivery services. With regard to the current situation, we prefer payment by card. You can find the full offer of your services on our website in Our services bookmark.

  • The DPD CZ (Geis Parcel) company has provided international shipping for me as well, will this still be possible?

Yes, the Direct Parcel Distribution CZ company also provides also international shipping. You can find the full offer of your services on our website in Our services bookmark.

  • Who shall we ask for new price conditions or services?

As of 1 July 2020, the Sales Departments of both of the companies were merged into one organisation with 100 sales representatives who together take care of all the customers of the DPD, as well as DPD CZ company. In summer 2020, we began to gradually introduce new sales representatives to our customers whose sales representative were changed.   • What are the differences in calculating the volumetrics (volumetric mass), tolls, fuel surcharge and other surcharges?

There are no changes to the current Terms and Conditions you have agreed upon with the DPD CZ (Geis Parcel CZ) company. You will be duly informed about their merger with the Terms and Conditions of DPD. The current amount of the fuel surcharge can be found on our website.

  • Will you be introducing new services?

DPD is a traditional leader in the field of innovations (e.g. parcel delivery in a one-hour time window) and strives for the highest possible standard of provided services. We are constantly adapting our offer of services in order to meet our customers needs.

  • Will I have to change my systems? Or the connection for my online shop?

Yes, it is very likely that your system of connection to DPD will have to be changed.Our technical support department will duly contact you with more detailed instructions. If you want to know more information now, please contact our technical support department at [email protected]

  • Can DPD connect customers who have their own software?

Yes, we can do this now already. If you are interested in technical details, you will find them on our website here, or please contact our Customer Service centre.

  • Will you be able to migrate data from GClient into My DPD system?

We are preparing data migration now. Detailed instructions for carrying it out will be available on our website.

  • I drive to depot XY now, will I be able to continue to do so?

Pallet shipping remains the scope of business of Geis CZ with which we will very closely cooperate in the form of logistic projects. DPD focuses exclusively on parcel shipping in compliance with its long-term strategy.
