Contactless delivery with PIN

continuing providing safe and convenient parcel delivery, we have introduced a new contactless delivery process. From the 27th of April, 2020 shipment receivers will receive an SMS with a unique PIN code.  

New contactless delivery process: 

1. The consignee right before delivery will receive an SMS with a unique 4 digit PIN code;
2. Courier, while providing contactless delivery, will ask the consignee to read the PIN code out loud;
3. If our system will accept the PIN code, the DPD courier will leave the parcel two meters away from the consignee.

Benefits of contactless delivery with PIN code  

• The shipment can be received easy, fast and safe;
• The consignee does not have to show ID to the courier, the only exception is COD and ROD services;
• The process is safe and familiar to our customers because the same system is already in use for Parcel Lockers and Parcel Shops;
• The shipment can receive a different person, for example, a family member, that has the PIN code. The only exception is for COD and ROD services.
