At DPD Switzerland, we do all we can to make the delivery process as simple and flexible as possible. We strive for complete transparency and maximum control for you, the consignee. Signature release authorisation is one key element of this – it is the ideal solution if you want to receive your parcel even if you are not home.
With a signature release authorisation, you can authorise us to deliver your parcel to a place of your choosing on your property, even if no one is home. Be it behind the shed, in the garage or on the terrace, you choose the place and we will deliver there.
You can either provide a one-time signature release authorisation for a specific parcel or add a general signature release authorisation to your customer account. The general authorisation can be updated or withdrawn online at any time.
Freedom means choosing your own path.
You can track your parcel delivery live with MyDPD - like a pizza tracker, but for your parcel. You can even redirect it up to 15 minutes before it is due to arrive.
You have four redirection options to choose from, including the signature release authorisation.
How it works:
If your parcel is shipped with the additional service Predict, you will receive a notification by SMS or email.
The link in the SMS or email takes you straight to MyDPD.
You will see the live delivery status and can grant a signature release authorisation with just a few clicks.
If you are not at home, our driver will leave parcel information. You can also access Follow My Parcel using the QR code or the notification number in combination with your postcode via www.dpdgetyourparcel.ch.

1. One-time signature release authorisation
Are you expecting a specific parcel and know that you will not be home? No problem!

• Enter your parcel number and postcode
• Select the redirection option ‘Signature release authorisation’
• Select a safe space and confirm
Authentication:
You will need one of the following options:
Email link for redirection
SMS code (if the shipper has provided a phone number)
Notification number (delivery slip from the driver) + postcode
2. Permanent (general) signature release authorisation
If you want to authorise all future DPD deliveries to be delivered to a chosen place, the general signature release authorisation is the ideal choice. It can be updated or withdrawn online at any time.
How it works:
Visit myDPD
Create a free customer account
After logging in:
• Navigate to ‘My preferences’
• Select ‘Safe space’ and click on the pencil to edit it
• Enter your preferred delivery spot and add your address and any additional information
• IMPORTANT: Click to toggle signature release authorisation
• Confirm by email link
The setting will be activated within 48 hours.
Please make sure that your chosen safe place is protected from the weather, easily accessible to you and as concealed as possible from third parties. This will keep your parcel safe and dry.
The signature release authorisation gives you flexibility and independence – just as modern parcel delivery should be.
