DPD's contractual liability is set out in the General Terms and Conditions of Sale, based on the provisions of the French Transport Code (Decree no. 2017-461 of 31 March 2017), the Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR) of 19 May 1956, the Warsaw Convention of 12 October 1929 and the Montreal Convention of 28 May 1999.

In the event of loss, deterioration or any material damage resulting in the total or partial destruction of the parcels and goods entrusted to the company, DPD and its insurers are liable for up to €33 per kilo, with a maximum of €1,000 per parcel.
