Interview with Felicia

The voice behind DPD: Our Felicia

DPD: How long have you been working for DPD Switzerland?
Felicia: "I have been working at DPD since September 2021."

DPD: What made you decide to work at DPD Switzerland?
Felicia: "I have a former colleague who used to work for DPD Switzerland. She told me that DPD attaches great importance to the well-being of its employees and to internal development opportunities. This is very important to me personally, because I want to feel good in my workplace. In addition, my own further development is also very important to me."

DPD: What are your tasks in the job and what do you like the most about it?
Felicia: " I work at DPD as a back-office specialist. That means I answer all written customer inquiries from our shippers and recipients. I do this in German, French and English.

What I particularly like about my job is communicating in three different languages. I love languages and therefore enjoy communicating in other languages. I can put that to good use in my job, which is very exciting for me."

DPD: How do you spend most of your time outside of work? Do you have a special hobby?
Felicia: " Outside of work I spend most of my time with music or in the kitchen. I love creativity, both in music and cooking. I especially like singing because it allows me to express my feelings. I also lead a choir group in a church community in Baden in Aargau. In the choir group, I especially like the fellowship and the opportunity to express myself through music."

DPD: What can you not live without?
Felicia: " I absolutely could not live without music and my Bible. Music is my passion and I also love to engage with faith, God and history. The Bible always gives me the strength and motivation to keep going, even when I feel weak. I have chosen this path of life."

DPD: What has been your greatest adventure so far?
Felicia: " That's a good question. My biggest adventure was a trip with my parents and brother to Marrakech, Morocco in 2019, where I took a quad tour through the desert with my brother. After a break in the middle of the desert, my brother and I suddenly found ourselves all alone. I know it sounds strange, but it was like that. The group just happened to go on without us. It was a very strange feeling. After a short while we decided to go back the way we knew approximately. After 4-5 hours we arrived back at our starting point, where everyone had been eagerly waiting for us. It was definitely an adventure. For a moment I felt lost, I panicked a little, but then I had caught myself again, I couldn't show my fear to my little brother."

DPD: What people inspire you - and why?
Felicia: " For me Joyce Meyer is a role model, I take her as an example of a successful and strong woman. She did not have an easy life, but when I look at her life today, I am encouraged that it is possible to be a better person tomorrow.”

DPD: What talent would you like to have - and why?
Felicia: " I would like to speak all languages because I love to speak languages. Especially Italian, Portuguese and Chinese. These three languages are among my absolute favorites. I would love to speak Chinese because I am inspired by their way of working, their entrepreneurial thinking and their creativity.”
