Interview with Thays

The voice behind DPD: Our Thays

DPD: How long have you been working for DPD?
Thays: "I have been part of DPD since 1 May 2020. Wow that was actually 1 year ago.”

DPD: What exactly are your tasks at DPD and do you like anything in particular about it?
Thays: "I am working in the International Team. Responsible for export and import parcel enquiries, mainly from our shippers. What I like most about my job is that I always learn new things at work because there is always something new to learn. What I also particularly like is our team. We work well together and always support each other so that we can offer our customers the best possible solution.

DPD: Do you have any hobbies besides your work?
Thays: "Yes, I like train at the gym to relieve some of the stress of everyday life. 😊"

DPD: Your name "Thays" is very interesting, can you tell us more about its origin?
Thays: "I am from Brazil. I was born there and came to Switzerland when I was 11 years old. Unfortunately I can't tell you more details, except that it's a typical Brazilian name."

DPD: Is there a typical Brazilian tradition that you still follow?
Thays: "I love Brazilian food. Whenever possible, we make a Brazilian speciality at home. One of my absolute favourite dishes is Feijoada. It's a kind of Brazilian stew consisting of black beans, different spices and lot of meat."

DPD: Do you have a pet and if no, would you want one? If yes, what would it be?
Thays: "No, I don't have any pets. But if I did, I would like to have a small dog that is very child friendly and that my daughter can play with."

DPD: Is there anything you don't like at all?
Thays: "I don't like winter months so much. As a Brazilian, I'm more of a fan of tropical weather - sunny and hot."

DPD: What was the nicest compliment someone once gave you?
Thays: "It was from my husband who said how beautiful my smile was. I think he was trying to win me over. And he did. 😊"

DPD: Is there anything you would like to change in today's world?
Thays: "That's a good question. Currently this corona pandemic situation. I would like to live normally again. Meet friends without a mask and do what you want to do."
