Ship pet food only in a durable corrugated cardboard box capable of supporting the weight of the shipment.
The box must be additionally reinforced:
Seal it with adhesive tape around the full perimeter;
Apply tape in at least three places to prevent the box from opening and to ensure the safety of the contents.
When heavy items are packed in a cardboard box, the bottom is particularly prone to tearing. Reinforce the base accordingly or consider using transport film instead.
If the shipment is heavy, do not place it in a box. Instead, use the original packaging (typically a bag) and wrap it securely in transparent transport film. Seal the edge of the film with adhesive tape to prevent unwrapping. Attach the shipment label directly onto the film.
Place a sheet of cardboard on the pallet base to protect the shipment from moisture and damage.
Protect the edges of the goods with cardboard corner guards.
It is recommended to additionally reinforce the bottom parcels with cardboard or dedicated pallet frames.
Secure the load firmly using stretch film or strapping to prevent movement during transportation.
