The parcel containing a bicycle must not exceed the maximum shipment dimensions:
Wrap each part of the frame with foam protection and secure it with straps. This will protect the frame from scratches, impacts, and dents during transportation.
It is also recommended to cover areas where cables may come into contact with the frame using protective material to prevent friction damage.
Protect the rear derailleur from direct contact with the box.
Remove the derailleur and wrap it in bubble wrap. Then secure it to the inner side of the frame using straps to prevent movement during transportation.
Remove the wheels and protect the wheel axles to ensure they do not damage the box in which the bicycle will be packed.
If the bicycle is equipped with disc brakes, remove the brake discs from the wheels to prevent deformation during transportation.
To optimize space, partially deflate the tires.
Protect the areas where the wheels attach to the fork.
You may use original manufacturer spacers or improvised protection made from foam, plastic, or cardboard.
Remove the handlebar, wrap it in bubble wrap, and secure it to the inner side of the frame to prevent movement.
Position the stem facing inward toward the frame.
Wrap the removed brake discs in bubble wrap. Securely pack the bolts to prevent loss.
Remove the saddle, wrap it in bubble wrap, and secure it to the frame.
Remove the pedals and place them in a “small parts bag.”
Note: the right pedal has a standard thread (unscrews counterclockwise), while the left pedal has a reverse thread (unscrews clockwise).
It is recommended to create a base support for the bicycle using foam, cardboard, or paper to ensure the bicycle does not rest on the chainring and damage the box during transportation.
Remove the bottle holder, handlebar accessories, and all small components. Place them in one durable, sealed bag.
If the bicycle is being shipped for travel purposes, include all necessary tools for reassembly in the same bag.
Secure the bag with all parts and tools to the frame.
Place the prepared frame into the box, then insert the wheels.
Before sealing, close the box and gently shake it to ensure that nothing moves inside. If movement is detected, add additional securing materials.
The parcel is ready for shipment when no internal movement or noise is detected during handling.
