Exceeding the above size and/or weight limits for parcels a surcharge of €20 is applied. The conditions of this clause apply to all international shipments, except Latvia and Estonia.

The recommended maximum package girth is 290 cm. Due to potential minor deformation during transportation, a tolerance 290-300 cm is permitted. If the package exceeds 300 cm when measured at a DPD depot, a surcharge will be applied.

Package volume – the sum of the shortest perimeter and longest edge of the package. The volume of the package is calculated like this: (height + width) × 2 + length, i.e. (A + B) × 2 + C.

** Packages over the size and weight limits won't be shipped to Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden. They will be returned to the sender if they exceed 35 kg, 175 cm in length, or 300 cm in girth.

Example 1. Irregular shape

Non-standard, unusual dimensions where the package may become jammed in conveyor mechanisms, including but not limited to: rakes wrapped only in stretch film and not in factory packaging; shipments wrapped in non-industrial film (e.g. food wrap); coils of cables without packaging; plastic or metal pipes.

Increased risk of leakage: a shipment label is affixed directly to a paint can. The can may be damaged by conveyor mechanisms, causing the paint to leak from the package. This may spill onto and damage other packages as well as sorting equipment.

The standard pallet is a Euro pallet that meets all requirements for dimensions and weight. Below are the minimum and maximum allowable dimensions of the standard pallet.

Packages weighing more than 25 kg and not in the manufacturer’s transport packaging must be delivered to the courier on standard Euro pallets.

Non-standard pallet – a pallet that does not meet the standards of the Euro pallet. Exceeding the specified dimensions and/or weight limits of Euro pallet parcel, a fine of €20 is applied to all international shipments, except to Latvia and Estonia.
