Current information and actions by DPD Switzerland regarding Coronavirus

With Covid-19’s reach and development now worldwide, DPDgroup has a role to play, as strong players in the parcel delivery industry, in slowing down the progress of the novel Coronavirus. At DPDgroup, we have been monitoring the Coronavirus (Covid-19) situation closely and following the advice issued by World Health Organisation and national authorities.

Measures of DPD Switzerland

In implementing this policy we comply with the recommendations of the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health and the instructions from DPDgroup headquarters. We have introduced various measures such as home office, staggered breaks, separation of teams or cancellation of trips and meetings. In addition, we have set up a task force which is constantly monitoring the situation and drawing up various scenarios and measures. The aim is to safeguard the business and protect the health of our employees and customers.

From Monday, 15 June 2020, we will again be requesting a signature from the recipient when delivering parcels, if this is provided for in the service. If you, as the recipient, do not wish to sign, you can grant us a deposit okay (a permission to leave the parcel in a safe place). With this, we will deposit your parcel in a specified place without requiring you to provide a signature. Once you have the package information for your package, you can give us your deposit okay at If you do not have the package information, you can also give us a one-time or general deposit okay using our specified form.
