Warning: Fake SMS messages pretending to be from DPD

We’ve been made aware of phishing text messages currently circulating in the Netherlands in which scammers pose as DPD. The message claims that you need to reschedule your delivery before 10 July to still receive your parcel. This message is not from DPD.

What does the fake message look like?
The SMS may seem legitimate at first and includes a message such as:

“Reschedule your delivery before 10 July to receive your parcel.” followed by a link that appears to lead to a DPD website.

If you click the link, you’re taken to a fake webpage that closely mimics the official DPD site. There, you may be asked to enter personal information – sometimes even payment details.

What should you do?
• Do not click the link.
• Do not enter any personal information.
• Delete the message.
• Unsure? Always check the web address. Our official websites begin with https://www.dpd.nl or https://my.dpd.nl.

DPD will never send unsolicited text messages asking you to pay or take action to receive a parcel, unless you have specifically requested it via our website or app.

How to spot a scam message?
• The message creates urgency: you "must act fast."
• The sender is vague or unrecognizable.
• The link is not one of our official domain names.
• The language or formatting may look slightly off.

What is DPD doing?
