Growth in 2018 - 50 million parcels transported

In 2018 DPD Austria will achieve a positive result with a new record volume of parcels shipped and good ratings from our customers.  

The growth in the total volume of parcels transported in 2018 is also in the millions: DPD Austria - including the premium service "primetime" - transported almost two million more parcels in 2018 than in the comparable year 2017, which means a daily average of 203,600 parcels, most of which were dispatched and delivered in Austria. In terms of international destinations, Germany is still the number one with a share of about 67 percent, followed by Italy and France. The majority of parcels were shipped on behalf of business customers. DPD has thus once again maintained and further consolidated its position as the largest provider in the B2B segment in a highly competitive market.  

Offering our customers the best service is a challenge for DPD which we meet anew every day. Our customers confirm that we are also successful in this respect in our rating system, which we are the only parcel service provider in Austria to offer in this form. The rating system for private customers has been in use for around two years. After each parcel delivery, satisfaction with the delivery is automatically checked. In 2018 alone almost 430,000 ratings were given, with an average of 3.7 out of 4 possible stars.
